Friday: Celebration of life of Barbara Slate

A celebration of the life of Barbara Rubin Slate, 83, who resided in Menlo Park for 49 years, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 1, at the Jennings Pavilion at Holbrook-Palmer Park in Atherton.

She was very involved in Menlo Park schools over the years and supported the children's hospital at Stanford as a member of the Woodside-Atherton Auxiliary.

She worked for many years for the Menlo Park City School District, starting as a teacher's aide at Oak Knoll Elementary and moving on to the district office as secretary of curriculum.

Go to Lasting Memories for more information on Barbara Slate and to leave a remembrance.
