Woodside to hold May Day festivities May 7

Woodside's traditional May Day celebration continues on Saturday, May 7, with the 94th annual parade along with a carnival, fun run, pancake breakfast, maypole dance, and citizen of the year ceremony.

The Woodside Elementary School Parent Teacher Association organizes the event on behalf of the town. This year's theme is "Once Upon an Enchanted Forest."

The parade will be led by the school's front office staff as grand marshals: Cathy Stienstra, the administrative coordinator; Taffy Appelbaum, the student data coordinator; Tina Adolph, the office assistant, and Amanda Bedolla Fuerte, the account tech.  The royal court is chosen at random from the kindergarten class.
