Correction: Water shutdown scheduled in Menlo Park on Sunday

The Menlo Park Municipal Water District will shut down its Burgess Park pressure valve on Sunday, May 1, from 2 to 6 a.m.

That valve affects water pressure in the city between Alma Street and Bayfront Expressway, affecting residents of the Willows, Flood Triangle and Belle Haven neighborhoods.

The valve piping will be replaced and new valves and gauges installed, the city said.

An earlier version of this story had given a Monday, May 2, deadline, based on an email message from the city.
