Motorists who use Ringwood Avenue and Coleman Avenue or Edge Road in Atherton and Menlo Park should slow down and keep an eye out for Laurel School students on Wednesday, May 4, as students participate in “Walk and Wheel to School Day.”
Students will be using those streets to get to their school, which is at 95 Edge Road in Atherton. Students will be on the road both in the morning, between 8 and 8:30 a.m., and in the afternoon, from 3 to 3:30 p.m., the Atherton Police Department says.
Minor delays will occur in the area, especially as children cross Ringwood Avenue from Coleman Avenue, according to the police department, which encourages motorists to use alternate routes that avoid the school area.
