Tennis: Menlo-SI showdown still could happen in CCS

The tennis match of the year was going to be played on April 22 when Menlo School was scheduled to face host St. Ignatius in a nonleague test.

That showdown never happened as rained washed out the match, which was not rescheduled.

The same teams, however, still could meet one or two more times after they received the top two seeds for the Central Coast Section Team Tournament on Monday.

Menlo (16-3), which has won seven straight section crowns and 14 overall, received the No. 1 seed while SI (21-0) got the No. 2 despite its perfect record.
