Late rally lifts Menlo Park Legends past PUF Capitalists

 

The Menlo Park Legends and Pacific Union Financial Capitalists played to a stalemate for nearly nine innings at Palo Alto High on a warm Sunday afternoon.

It wasn't until a controversial double by Sean Watkins to start the top of the ninth inning helped decide things.

Watkins scored on an RBI single by Tyler Nelin, providing the Legends with an 8-7 victory, in which Caps manager Mike Zirelli got ejected.
