San Mateo County launches app for dads

San Mateo County has launched an app called "SMC Dads" designed to give dads information about local parenting resources.

The app has a directory of county playgrounds, basketball courts, hiking trails, skate parks and tennis courts, and a calendar of kid-friendly events nearby.

It has a jobs directory, parenting handbooks, and a list of resources such as emergency food pantries, lower-income housing programs, and public transportation.

The app is available for free on the Apple App and Google Play stores. A toll-free phone directory to the same resources is available at (844) 650-DADS.
