Basketball: Paye's Undisputed TNT goes 2-1 at national AAU tournament

 

Paye's Undisputed TNT went 2-1 in pool play at the AAU 7th Grade National Basketball Championships in Kingsport, Tenn.

The TNT beat a team from Indiana 51-46 and a team from Kentucky 61-53 before losing to Tennessee Flight Select 54-53.

Maiea Makoni scored 13, Rain Sheh had 11 and Danielle McNair 10 in the win over Indiana.

Marley Langi had 18, Sheh 14 and Makoni 11 in the win over the Kentucky Premiere.

Jacqueline Burland played a key role against Premiere, converting a 4-point play in the first half and hitting a key 3-pointer in the second half.

McNair scored 13 and Sheh added 10 in the loss to Tennessee, a game the TNT led throughout before a shot at the buzzer gave Tennessee the win.

The TNT plays a team from Cincinnati, Ohio next in the championship bracket.
