Sure, modern technology is great, but do you ever feel nostalgia for the days of joysticks, Tony Tutors and Commodore?
This weekend, techies can get in touch with their roots at The Vintage Computer Festival West.
The festival, held at Mountain View’s Computer History Museum (1401 N. Shoreline Blvd.) Aug. 6-7, will offer visitors the chance to check out many retro-cool computing machines and gaming systems, exhibits, and speakers, with offerings such as a vintage microprocessor “solid state Monopoly game,” rare computers from Japan and more.
A rare Apple-1 will be auctioned off for charity.
Admission to the event (9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday), which is put on by the Vintage Computer Federation, is $20 for one day/$30 for both.
