Locals compete at tennis national championships

 

Sacred Heart Prep junior Sara Choy went 5-2 at the U.S. Tennis Association's National Championships in San Diego over the weekend, reaching the fourth round of the 18s consolation bracket.

Menlo Park resident Elena Van Linge reached the round of 64 in the 16s and finished 2-2.

Gunn junior Emily Zhou lost both of her matches in the 18s.

Incoming Stanford freshman Emma Higuchi reached the quarterfinals of the 18s before losing to eventual champion Kayla Day, a Santa Barbara senior.
