Menlo grad Smith's football job with the Trojans is a snap

Menlo School grad Zach Smith will take his final snap at Stanford Stadium as a college football player on Saturday.

The USC long snapper has made a career out of hiking the ball on extra point attempts and punts. It would be no surprise if an NFL team used a draft choice on him. He's in select company at his position.

Smith, a one-time walk-on who received a scholarship in the fall of 2015, appeared in all 14 games in 2015. He's performed his duties "without a hitch," according to his bio.
