Storm expected Thursday

Resident are urged to protect themselves from potential debris flows, flash floods

Another storm is due to arrive in the Bay Area on Thursday and possibly over the weekend, according to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) officials.

Rain is expected to develop Thursday through Friday morning and will probably impact the Thursday afternoon commute.

On the Midpeninsula, the chance of rain is 90 percent, with winds at 5 to 10 mph.

South winds reaching 15 to 24 mph with gusts up to 35 mph may be possible from Thursday to early Friday, NOAA officials said.
