Jewelry-maker celebrates 10 years at Allied Arts

Master silver- and goldsmith Davide Bigazzi has been crafting necklaces, rings, earrings and more in his Allied Arts Guild studio for a decade now, and he is inviting the community to help him celebrate his 10th anniversary at the guild on Saturday, Nov. 12.

The event is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Davide Bigazzi Studio and Gallery at 75 Arbor Road, Suite K, in Menlo Park.

There will be wine and food, and participants will be offered a 10 percent discount on purchases. There will also be a raffle for prizes including classes taught by the maestro.

A native of Florence, Italy, Mr. Bigazzi apprenticed as a youth with a well-known sculptor and jewelry-maker in this home city for years before striking out on his own. He is a master of the centuries-old metalsmithing techniques known as chasing and repousse, and conducts workshops in those arts here and in Italy.
