Sunday: Holiday arts-and-crafts fair in Portola Valley

A Portola Valley holiday arts-and-crafts fair is set for Sunday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at Woodside Priory School at 302 Portola Road.

Items for sale at the fair, to be presented by some 47 artisans, will include fine art, jewelry, turned wood, holiday ornaments, hats and other textiles, handmade soaps, stoneware, plants, granola and honey, according to the fair's sponsor, the Portola Valley Cultural Arts Committee. Pizza will be available between 1 and 4 p.m.

A percentage of the fair's profits go to the local elementary school district and to support programs such as the purchase of open space in town, and Peninsula Bridge, which provides academic and emotional support for under-served, highly motivated K-12 students.
