Atherton Now pushes to meet civic center fundraising goal

Goal is to raise $10 million by year end

Atherton Now, the group seeking donations for a new Atherton civic center, has raised more than $550,000 toward a $1 million matching grant, and a total of a little over $6 million from 96 contributors by Dec. 1.

The goal is to get to $10 million by the end of the year, according to the latest report from the group.

"While donations come in daily, we need help crossing the finish line," Atherton Now's Didi Fisher said.

"Currently our momentum is strong across all ranges of donations," she said. "This needs to continue in order for us to reach our match and goals to build the new town center."

Atherton-Now.com has more information and a "donate" button as well as videos showing the condition of Atherton's existing civic center.
