Firefighters used the “Jaws of Life” when responding to a four-vehicle crash at Bayfront Expressway and University Avenue that sent one person to Stanford Hospital Saturday morning.
Firefighters, in responding to the crash that was reported at 7:50 a.m., pried apart one of the vehicles to plug a fuel leak before the vehicle could be safely removed from the scene, according to Chief Harold Schapelhouman of the Menlo Park Fire Protection District.
Law enforcement officers who responded to the incident conducted an investigation and documented the scene.
