As the latest winter storm fades, the Bay will see more rain Wednesday and Thursday, National Weather Service officials said.

At the airports in San Francisco, Oakland and Santa Rosa, a quarter-inch, .34 inches and 1.09 inches fell, respectively, in this latest storm, which started Sunday.

San Jose received just .04 inches while Buchanan Field Airport in Concord received a tenth of an inch, meteorologist Brian Mejia said.

Rain is forecast for the Bay Area starting Wednesday afternoon through Thursday.

Steady rain will fall through Wednesday night, with lighter rain forecast for Thursday, according to the weather service.

Many places such as San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, Concord and Fairfield are expected to get a half-inch to an inch of rain.

An inch to an inch and a half is forecast for Santa Rosa and San Rafael, while San Jose is expected to get a quarter- to a half-inch.

Weather service officials said there’s a slight chance of thunderstorms on Thursday, which could bring hail to the area Thursday afternoon.

Winds will increase ahead of the rain Wednesday, with gusts of 25 to 35 mph expected.
