Prep report: A strong effort for locals at track meet


Phillip Ericsson placed third in the 110 meter hurdles in 16.87 to pace a strong showing from the Palo Alto boys track and field team at the KBell Invitational on Saturday. Paly's Tyler Marik also scored in hurdles, finishing sixth in 17.35.

Sacred Heart Prep senior Kyle Schott won the triple jump, finishing with a best leap of 43-1/2. Gunn junior Jared Freeman placed sixth in the shot put with a heave of 44-10 and sixth in the discus with a throw of 133-3. Read the story here.
