'Tis the season indeed

You know ‘tis the season of giving when 300-plus people drive in rainy conditions to attend a Paradise Camp Fire Relief Fundraiser.

On Dec. 5, Alice’s Restaurant in Woodside sponsored a family-style pasta feed to raise money for North Valley Community Foundation, a philanthropic organization in Chico that is supporting victims and first responders from last month’s devastating fire.

Diners donated what they wished, another restaurant and bar associated with the owners of Alice's joined in, and the total came to about $30,000. Those who couldn’t attend were directed to give on the website: www.nvcf.org.
