Aliyah Brantley carved out a piece of history for herself, Destinee Bowie stepped up big and the 14th-ranked Menlo College women’s basketball team figured that one good upset was worth another, recording a 51-46 victory over No. 8 Carroll on Thursday at the Frontier Classic in Chandler, Ariz.

Brantley surpassed 1,000 points for her career, the sixth to reach the milestone in program history. Bowie scored 15 points, had nine rebounds and was a defensive presence, particularly in the fourth quarter, when Menlo outscored the Fighting Saints, 15-5. Read the story here.
