Davidson is No. 1 overall pick of NWSL College draft


Stanford junior defender and Sacred Heart Prep grad Tierna Davidson was the No. 1 overall pick of the National Women's Soccer League College Draft on Thursday. Stanford's Jordan DiBiasi was the No. 3 overall pick and Tegan McGrady was selected with the seventh overall pick.

Davidson, who missed the majority of the the season with an injury, was taken by the Chicago Red Stars. DiBiasi and McGrady both went to the Washington Spirit, which made Andi Sullivan the top overall pick last year. Read the story here.
