Portola Valley to hold housing meeting Saturday

Portola Valley will be holding a community meeting on housing Saturday to cover what's going on with housing development, including affiliated housing, housing on town-owned property, and its new Accessory Dwelling Unit Ordinance.

Affiliated housing currently includes projects being undertaken or considered by Stanford University, Woodside Priory School, and the Sequoias retirement community.

The ADU ordinance, approved by the Town Council in March, includes new rules that allow for the development of secondary units, both inside and on the exterior of current housing.

The ordinance allows individual addresses for second units and separate utility connections.

Space is limited for the meeting, to be held at the Community Hall, 756 Portola Road, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., so an RSVP is required by Thursday, May 30.

E-mail the RSVP to PVConversation@portolavalley.net or call 650.851.1700 x259.

There will also be a livestream of the meeting, which will be available here. A recording of the meeting will also be available next week.
