Portola Valley plans street resurfacing this summer

Portola Valley will begin a street resurfacing program on 17 streets on Monday (June 24) that will continue until Aug. 9.

Contractors will be making asphalt repairs and applying surface seals to the road surfaces, including grinding worn areas, crack sealing, applying a surface seal treatment and repainting traffic markings.

Work will take place from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday on Acorn Street, Alamos Road, Alhambra Court, Arastradero Road from Alpine Road to the county limit, Creek Park Drive, Golden Hills Drive from Fawn Lane to Westridge Drive, Golden Oak Drive from Beargulch Drive to Alhambra Court, Goya Road, Grove Court, Groveland Street, Los Trancos Road, Mapache Drive from Zapata Way to Ramoso Road, Meadowood Drive from Cervantes to Navajo Place, Naranja Way, Pine Ridge Way, Portola Green Circle, and Willowbrook Drive.

The contractor will deliver printed notices to residents two days in advance indicating the exact date the street is scheduled for.

Traffic will have limited access through those streets during the street resurfacing process, and traffic controls within the construction area will be in place.

For any questions about the project, please call 650-851-1700 x214 or email at hyoung@portolavalley.net. Portola Valley's on-site construction inspector is Kent Edwards and he can be reached on his cellphone at 831-332-5702.
