Residents were dressed in their red, white and blue best for Menlo Park's annual Fourth of July parade and celebration on Thursday.

People paraded down Santa Cruz Avenue to Burgess Park beginning at 11:45 a.m., including children on decorated bikes and in wagons.

The parade was followed by an afternoon celebration at the park, where people listened to live music and enjoyed activities like carnival games, rock wall climbing and crafts.

Almanac photo intern Sadie Stinson captured scenes from the festivities. Here's a sampling of her photographs.
