The deadline to apply for appointment to a seat on the Menlo Park City School District Board of Trustees is 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16.
The school board will interview candidates at a special public meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, and appoint one of them to fill the seat vacated by Caroline Lucas, who resigned last month to take a teaching job in the district.
The board term expires in November 2020.
Application packets are available at the school district office at 181 Encinal Ave. in Atherton. Candidates must live in the district and be 18 years or older to be eligible.
The Sept. 23 meeting to appoint the new member will take place in the district office boardroom at 181 Encinal Ave. in Atherton.
