Three unknown individuals were seen fleeing from a house in the 2000 block of Stockbridge Avenue in unincorporated San Mateo County on Monday (Dec. 30) before speeding away in a dark-colored Dodge minivan, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.

The minivan proceeded eastbound on Stockbridge, southbound on Santa Clara Avenue and westbound onto Woodside Road, according to a witness, who then lost sight of the vehicle.

A residential alarm went off at the address a few minutes later.

Upon inspecting the residence, sheriff's deputies found a shattered rear glass door.

After returning home, the homeowner checked the residence and determined nothing was taken during the burglary.

The investigation is ongoing, and the sheriff's department is asking anyone in the area with security cameras to review surveillance footage to look for evidence.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call the Sheriff's Office Anonymous Tip Line at 1-800-547-2700.
