La Honda Road closure on Tuesday was due to truck accident

La Honda Road was closed between Portola Road and Skyline Boulevard on Tuesday because a truck went off the road near the intersection with Fox Hill Road, according to a San Mateo County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.

The accident occurred at about 10 a.m., and the road was reopened at 3 p.m. after a tow truck arrived and pulled the truck off an embankment, she said.

There were no injuries in the accident, the spokesperson said.

Clarification

The Sheriff's Office on Tuesday reported that the road that was closed was Woodside Road. However, the roadway at that location is known as La Honda Road.
