M-A's Smith wins girls wrestling title at 131; Creighton a boys runner-up at MidCals

 

Palo Alto sophomore Cade Creighton won four matches, one by pin and two others by major decision, to reach the championship match of the 160-pound division of the MidCals wrestling tournament on Saturday at Gilroy High.

Creighton, who fell to Evergreen Valley’s Marcos Jimenez in the title match, helped Paly finish ninth at the event with 92 points. Host Gilroy won the team title with 298 1/2 points. Read the story here.
