Eva Canter, 15, who ran away from a West Menlo Park home on Sunday morning, was found after a resident saw her in the Redwood City area on Monday morning, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Eva 15, ran away from the residence around 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 28, the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post. There were no further details on where the home was located.

“She has no phone, no money and she is not familiar with this area,” the sheriff’s office wrote.

Canter was later found in the Redwood City area on Monday morning after a concerned neighbor recognized Canter’s photo from one of the sheriff’s office’s alerts, Detective Rosemerry Blankswade said. Blankswade could not immediately speak on Canter’s city of residence, but said the girl was not from the area.

Her condition is being evaluated, she said.
