Highway 84 is closed between Portola Road and Highway 35, the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Management said Saturday, March 11, afternoon.

This area of Highway 84 will be closed "indefinitely" due to major roadway damage, according to the emergency management office.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes such as Highway 92, the emergency management office said.
