"8th Redwood National Champions"
Over the weekend of March 12-13, 2022 an All-Star team of 8th grade boys basketball players representing the Redwood Chapter of the Silicon Valley Section for National Junior Basketball (NJB) competed in the 2022 NJB National Tournament held in Garden Grove California. The team was comprised of the best players in the local division, which draws from Menlo Park, Atherton, Emerald Hills, Redwood City, and Woodside. The Redwood team went on to capture the national championship title in a 39 to 27 victory over previously unbeaten Willow Glen.
