One firefighter suffered a minor burn to his arm while battling a two-alarm blaze at a house in Woodside Saturday evening, according to the Woodside Fire Protection District.

The firefighter was treated at the scene of the blaze, which was reported at 5:28 p.m. at 700 Glencrag Way, Battalion Chief Dan Ghiroso said.

The fire appears to have started in a carport attached to the two-story, single-family house, according to Ghiroso.

The flames damaged two cars, the carport and some vegetation surrounding the house before the fire was declared under control at 5:54 p.m., Ghiroso said.

The two long-time residents of the home have been displaced since the fire district had to shut off the gas and electricity to the house, according to Ghiroso.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, although Ghiroso said it most likely started accidentally.
