Friends and family of Andrew Ingram, the youngest victim of the Feb. 17 plane crash in East Palo Alto, plan to celebrate Ingram’s life at a March 27 memorial service in Woodside.
The service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Family Farm, 1400 Portola Road.
Attendees will have a chance to share stories about Mr. Ingram, a 31-year-old Palo Alto resident who had worked as an engineer for Tesla Motors and died along with co-workers Doug Bourn and Brian Finn.
Mr. Ingram graduated from Harvey Mudd College and was known among his friends and family as a technology whiz.
“He took to technology like a duck to water,” his aunt, Kathy Trafton, told the Palo Alto Weekly. “He was always interested in everything technical.”
His generous nature and varied interests made him popular among many social groups, including his crew rowing team, his engineering friends and his movie friends, with whom he would meet every week to watch movies and eat homemade dinners, Ms. Trafton said.
He was also a skilled chef, an avid fan of classical music, and was just about to pursue his long-held dream of learning to play the piano when he died, she said.
The ceremony will feature a slide show, according to an announcement made by Ms. Trafton. A reception will follow.
