Menlo Park’s Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the Menlo Gateway development proposal tonight (Monday, April 19), at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers.

The proposal by the Bohannon Development Co. is for three eight-story office buildings, a 230-room hotel, and a sports club, totaling nearly one million square feet. It would require a general plan amendment, and the creation of a new zoning district.

This is the first of two comprehensive Planning Commission meetings on the project, and it’s designed specifically to solicit input from the public.

The commission is scheduled to make a final recommendation on whether the council should approve the project at a second meeting on May 3. The council is scheduled to hold a public hearing on May 25, and could give the project proposal final approval at a subsequent meeting June 15.

The council chambers is located in the Civic Center complex, between Laurel and Alma streets.
