Power was fully restored to PG&E customers in Menlo Park Sunday evening (June 13) after a morning outage that initially affected 2,144 customers, a utility spokeswoman said.

The outage was reported just before 6 a.m., PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris said.

Crews returned power to all but 13 of those customers by afternoon, and the remaining 13 customers had their power restored as of 7:05 p.m., she said.

The outage appears to have been caused by the malfunction of an electrical elbow, a piece of equipment that connects high-voltage cables to other pieces of electrical equipment, according to Ms. Morris. Crews removed the faulty elbow and replaced it with a new piece, she said.
