Professor Abbas Milani, director of Iranian studies at Stanford University, will be the guest speaker at the kickoff event of the Peninsula chapter of the World Affairs Council on Sunday, Sept. 26, at 75 Tuscaloosa Ave in Atherton.

Check-in will be at 2:30 p.m. The 3 p.m. program will be followed by a 4:30 p.m. reception.

Professor Milani’s topic will be “Iran and its near and far neighbors.” An Iranian-American, he is co-director of the Iran Democracy Project at Stanford.

  1. Should be an interesting talk, following what his president ranted about yesterday at the UN. Rachelle Marshall will be there to further castigate theUS imperialists, I’m sure.
