The Fatherhood Collaborative of San Mateo County will celebrate Father’s Day with kite-flying, face-painting, and a barbecue lunch at its annual “Dad and Me at the Park” event on Saturday, June 18.
The event will be held at Coyote Point Park, located at 1961 Coyote Point Drive in San Mateo, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Don Horsley and David Pine of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors will present the 2011 Fatherhood Award at the event.
The Fatherhood Collaborative seeks to increase awareness of the value of fathers and the role that significant male caregivers play in their children’s lives. The event is free and open to the public.
