A bicyclist pedaling along the Ringwood Avenue pedestrian bridge lost $25 after being confronted by a man brandishing a knife on Tuesday (Dec. 6) morning.

The robber grabbed the 31-year-old man by his collar and said, “Give me your stuff!” according to Menlo Park police. The victim convinced the suspect to just take the cash.

He described the suspect as a black man in his mid-20s, 5 foot 10 inches tall, and 160 to 180 pounds with short, dark curly hair. The suspect wore a black hooded sweatshirt with a blue bandanna covering the lower half of his face and remains at large, police said.

  1. I hope there is some concern for personal safety with the new bridge they are building. The old one has poor sight lines and easy ‘attack’ modes which allow sad things like this.
