The San Mateo County Public Works Department is seeking community comment about two traffic corridors: Alpine Road and the stretch of Interstate 280 between Page Mill and Sand Hill roads.

Residents of Portola Valley, Ladera and Stanford Weekend Acres are invited to a community meeting at the Portola Valley Town Center Community Hall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 765 Portola Road.

Joe Lo Coco, the county’s deputy director of road services, said the 90-minute meeting is intended to provide the community a chance to weigh in on issues they may have about these corridors prior to the county’s issuing a request for proposals “for further analysis.”

“(We) want to make sure that the RFP is comprehensive and considers local resident issues of concern,” he said.
