Woodside Elementary School students helped pack 10,000 meals to be distributed by Rise Against Hunger, an international hunger relief organization, on March 22.

More than 85 people, mostly students, participated in the event, with the students in the school’s community service elective class joining the student council and the first-grade Girl Scout troop in leading the event.

They also raised $3,800 to pay for the meal ingredients.

  1. I would love to hear more about how this was organized, lessons learned, etc. Does anyone know who at Woodside would be a good contact?
