Menlo Park police reported four burglaries – two commercial, one residential and one auto – in the crime log for Tuesday, Dec. 4.

The commercial burglaries took place in the 1500 block of Adams Drive. At Oxheion Bio Science, the burglar(s) used a rock to break glass on the front door, entered the building and stole four laptop computers for an estimated loss of $8,000, police said.

Nearby at Intersect ENT, the burglar(s) smashed a glass door, entered the building and stole laptop computers and other items from “various desks,” police said. A witness saw someone wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and dark pants running from the building, police said. The investigation of the case is incomplete, and there is no estimate yet on losses.

Across town in the 300 block of Sharon Park Drive, someone attempted to enter a ground-floor apartment by removing a screen from a bedroom window, but did not manage to get in, police said.

In that same block of Sharon Park Drive, someone smashed the driver’s-side window of a parked vehicle, but apparently did not steal anything, police said. The investigation of the case is incomplete.
