Robert Lawrence Dunshee

Mountain View High School graduate of the class of 1945 Robert (Bobby or Bob) Dunshee passed away on October 13, 2013, peacefully in Woodland, California.
Bob was born in Sacramento and was the son of Raymond L. Dunshee and Lola Hannah Brown-Dunshee. He is survived by his daughter, Erin Dunshee-Stover, and four grandchildren, Dustin Cowan, Wolfgang, Willow and Violet Stover; nephew, Peter Schultz and his family, and niece, Susan Ambrose, and her family.
After spending his early years in Sacramento, the family moved to Mountain View to tend to the Dunshee family ranch. After his graduation from Mountain View High School in 1945, Bob enlisted in the Navy. After his honorable discharge, he met the family who had returned to Sacramento. He attended college at Sacramento Junior College as well as California State University and had a degree in Engineering.
Bob was involved with the transportation infrastructure in Sacramento and surrounding counties. He worked for such companies as Teichert, Granite, RC Collet and eventually went on to found his own trucking company, Two Rivers Enterprises which he operated from around 1979 to his retirement several years ago.
In his youth, Bob was an avid skier. He volunteered services on the ski patrol in and around Donner Pass. Bob also enjoyed fishing and had many fun stories and anecdotes from his youth and experiences.
Bob lived a full life, enjoyed his grandchildren, driving his Chevy Silverado, walking three miles a day on the American River Parkway, and was a happy, funny, friendly person.
