Community development director retires

Arlinda Heineck, Menlo Park's community development director has retired. In a proclamation offered by the council April 24, she was credited with creating the city's first below-market-rate housing ordinance; developing guidelines to increase the city's affordable housing supply; overseeing major rezoning projects and two general plan updates; and reviewing a number of development projects citywide.
