Property owners are not taking on the responsibility they should be for themselves or their neighbors. Not only would keeping our trees thinned and cut back prevent fires, but it would also keep our utility bills down (allowing the sun to shine in and meet our needs), and help people spend less time cleaning up after their neighbor's trees.
When planting new trees and bushes, maybe one should consider small, short trees and bushes. They would be easier and less expensive to maintain and care for.
As we all become more conscious and consistent in caring for our trees, we will all benefit.
