Letter: Over-population contributes to global warming trend
We hear a lot about global warming and how we need to turn to alternate sources of energy, as in the March 28 story titled "Scientist sees dire climate-change impacts." But why don't we hear anything about the dire effects of over-population? What is it that consumes our natural resources? People, in my opinion.
As world population becomes balanced so will our natural resources, along with affordable housing and, in general, "the cost of living."
The problems over-population produce will not go away. It is time to address this issue. As population decreases so will greed coming from fear of not having enough. People, as a whole, might even be happier and healthier.
