All of them, as well as Mr. DeGolia, had applied for the seat last month, when council members sought applicants in the hope that they could appoint a member and avoid an election to fill the seat left vacant when Jerry Carlson resigned July 1. The council did not agree on an applicant, and called for an election.
The winner in the November election will serve out Mr. Carlson's term which ends in December 2014.
The filing period ends at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9.
