  1. The headline is completely misleading…I was there.
This police call was made by 1 unsupervised child who was spooked by some older rowdy teenagers and made the overly dramatic call to the police. There were “no visible injuries” because there were no inuries to report. There are no “suspects” to arrest.

The mothers of the unsupervised children had 1. left their children at the Club without any supervision (against Club policy) and 2. never apologized to Club management, staff, the police or Board members who spent the evening trying to sort out the misunderstanding.

The only thing that was dramatic about this event was the mother’s negligence and lack of common decency.

  2. Did the rowdy teenagers make physical contact with the 3 children or was this all verbal? Physical violence of any kind is criminal assault, even if there are no injuries.

  3. It is about time parents upervise their children. Why have them if you are not responsible for them? Alpine is not a babysitter. It is a pity it took this type of incident to opent the eyes of the community.
