Atherton to interview building official candidates this week

Original post made by Andrea Gemmet, Almanac staff writer, on Dec 11, 2006

Atherton officials say that this week they are holding preliminary interviews with applicants to head the town's beleagured Building Department. The post has been vacant since Mike Hood retired in June.

I have a question for the many people who use Atherton Building Department services:

What qualities should a new Building Official bring to the job?

The Atherton City Council is set to discuss a number of issues relating to the Building Department at the Wednesday, Dec. 13, meeting. A staff report about the department can be found at this link: Web Link

An agenda for the council meeting is at this link: Web Link
