The foundations - The Morgan Family Foundation, the Lurie Foundation and the Eva and Andrew Grove Foundation have each agreed to match $1 for $1 all donations from new donors and those who have not given in three or more years.
While accomplishing this is never an easy task, the new donor requirement makes reaching the goal even harder. Never the less, the Clubs welcome the opportunity to attract new donors to support their programs. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula has been a part of the community for almost 50 years hower today, the Clubs has only 2,000 active donors out of over 700,000 residents living in the area. It is important that more people contribute - this is an vital organization that is providing safety and support to the children that most need it.
It may be appealing to people thinking about making a year-end gift that the amount of their donation could be tripled because of these challenge grants. One persons gift of $100 could translate into $300 or $400 for the Clubs.
