Guild does the Time Warp

Original post made by Andrea Gemmet, Almanac staff writer, on Jan 29, 2007

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is playing at the Guild in Menlo Park on two Saturdays, February 3 and 17, at midnight, according to Roger Brown of Landmark Theatres.

In case you've been in a coma for several decades and haven't heard of Rocky Horror, here's a teaser:
"The longest-running midnight movie of all time stars Tim Curry as the kinky yet endearing “transsexual from Transylvania” Dr. Frank N. Furter, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick as his hapless guests Brad and Janet, Meat Loaf as motorcycle-riding rough trade and author Richard O’Brien as the hunchbacked butler Riff Raff. It’s harmless musical fun—a delightful spoof of Hollywood horror movies and Old Dark House melodramas. All of our engagements feature live casts who perform scenes during the movie, and the audience is always welcome to respond to the on-screen action. The Rocky Horror Picture was the first—and is still the best—interactive movie experience! Official Web Site: Web Link

The Guild is located at 949 El Camino Real. Call (650) 266-9260.

I'm already dancing down Memory Lane. Thanks Landmark -- a whole generation of Rocky Virgins will have the chance to become Rocky Whore-ers. Fling off you chastity belts and fasten your seat belts. This is horribly great theater.
